作为UNESCO世界遗产名录中的一员，伊卢利萨特冰峡湾的壮美名不虚传。长达65至70千米，伊卢利萨特冰峡湾中挤满了巨大的冰山。造成泰坦尼克号沉没的冰山很可能曾经就是它们其中的一员。
在这个地方远足，您需要格外注意周围的环境并仔细稳妥前行。旅途中较大的挑战是需要沿着长长曲折的小路登上一座山。虽然过程可能会有些艰辛，但是登顶后您可以将远处狗拉雪橇会经过的旷野和山坡尽收眼底。
导游会根据实际情况来判断这次的旅途是否需要使用雪鞋和登山杆。通常情况下，雪鞋能够在积雪足够深的情况下让您的徒步之旅更为轻松便捷，但是如果积雪程度不深或者雪并不松软，雪鞋反而会成为您徒步远足路上的绊脚石。
