狗拉雪橇在格陵兰的历史可以追溯到2000年之前！雪橇犬并不是宠物，而是令人信赖的战友和伙伴。在漫长的冬季，雪橇犬是主要的“交通工具”，带着因纽特人翻越山丘，穿过冰原，让他们在凛冽的北极中得以生存。至今，狗拉雪橇仍然是一部分因纽特人的主要交通方式。
其他地方的雪橇犬品种可能是常见的哈士奇或阿拉斯加，但是格陵兰的雪橇犬却并不一样！格陵兰的雪橇犬有古老而纯正的血统，为了保持血统的纯正，一旦北极圈内的雪橇犬离开北极圈，它们将永远不能回去，同时，格陵兰也禁止外来犬种进入北极圈。在这样的环境下，格陵兰雪橇犬已经有着一股野性，狗拉雪橇的传统也得以良好的保存。
在这里，您能够体验到最纯正、最地道的狗拉雪橇活动！从World of Greenland的办公室出发，当地向导会带着您开始刺激而独特的旅途。您可以从两条线路中自主选择：第一条路线会带着你前往Brede Bugt，去欣赏冰雪覆盖下的迪斯科湾；另一条路线则会带着登上一个小山顶（Little Akinnaq），穿过一片内陆荒原，最终到达冰峡湾附近。在第二条路线上，您能够享受到坐在雪橇上登上山顶并急速下滑的快感！
