Some people think winter in Iceland is colourless, but this trip will show you a multitude of different terrains and colours! We drive from heart of Reykjavik all the way to the southern coast of Iceland to explore majestic waterfalls, unique black sand beaches and learn more about its history on the way.

South Iceland is famous for its farmlands, mountains, glaciers and volcanos. With the vast Atlantic Ocean on one side and different types of terrains on the other side, this tour offers you plenty of views which are hard to find anywhere else in the world. With the height of 63 metres, Seljalandsfoss waterfall is the representation of powerful beauty and is marked as one of the highlights on this tour. Walking on a designed track, you can even walk behind the waterfall to explore its mysterious and uniqueness.

Skógafoss is another waterfall we will spot alongside the journey. It is one of the largest waterfalls in Iceland. When it is sunny, you are most likely to witness the rainbow around this waterfall. Colourful rainbow and white lively waterfall create a picturesque scene to highlight the journey.

Continue driving and you arrive at Vik, where the famous black sand beach is located. The soaring basalt rock formation known as Reynisdrangar is a vivid example of a masterpiece created by mysterious nature. Throughout this journey, you will find the beauty of Iceland hard to describe using only words – you must experience it with your own eyes, so make sure you bring your camera!

We will pick you up and drop you off at the pick-up point which is closest to your hotel before and after the tour, so all you need to do is relax and have fun! You can also go to the departure location at Gray Line Bus Terminal at Klettagarðar 4 based if you prefer. We recommend bringing warm jackets, comfortable shoes, waters and snacks to make this journey more relaxing.

  • Other clothing should be picked according to weather that day, you will not get much colder on the glacier as on the ground.
  • Sturdy Hiking Boots – waterproof with good ankle support.
  • Woollen/or thermal windproof hat, which covers your neck (alternatively, thermal face mask);
  • Woollen/or thermal gloves (ideal as a base layer under waterproof gloves or mittens);
